KÖVET Association was founded in 1995 by 26 committed companies with the aim of putting environmental awareness at the heart of corporate operations – long before sustainability was widely known and recognised. Much has changed in the last three decades, with new approaches, systems and challenges. And we have evolved with them – in professional knowledge, in tools, in reach, and in how we communicate sustainability.
Let’s celebrate this milestone together in a day that is both a look back and a look forward. This event is not a classic conference, but a celebration, a place for inspiration and the birth of new alliances. In this value-creating community, we offer our partners the opportunity to reflect and network together.
Programme (The conference will be held in Hungarian)
In the morning, we invite you to a past history session with KÖVET President Erzsébet Ódor, Prof. Dr. Sándor Kerekes, founder Gergely Tóth and Executive Director Katalin Herner. Let’s look together at how the idea and practice of environmental protection and sustainability has evolved over the last 30 years. We will recall the history, successes and memorable moments of KÖVET.
- We will welcome our founders and members present and listen to video messages from absent members and the KÖVET community.
- In the afternoon, we will turn to the future with ecological economist Alexandra Köves, and together we will look ahead to 2055, based on science. Afterwards, we invite you to an interactive brainstorming session, where the audience, led by comedian Gergely Litkai, can actively shape our shared vision of the future. The programme will be rounded off with a playback theatre performance.
- We will close the day with candle blowing, cake cutting and champagne toasting, because 30 years is a celebration worthy of the occasion!
Tell your KÖVET story! – 30 years, 30 stories
We would like you to share with us a personal story that has been significant for you over the past three decades. It could be a memorable conference, a joint project, an inspiring encounter, a trip, or any moment that has stayed with you for some reason.
The story can be:
- a short text message (4-5 sentences) +1 photo or porttrait, OR
- a short video message (30 seconds) recorded on your phone or computer. We are happy to help you with the latter.
- link it to a specific year, event, or program, and we will be happy to share it on our social media platforms to mark the anniversary.
