The KÖVET Association’s publication, a magazine for environmentally and socially responsible business leaders. It is the first, and so far the only, journal on environmental corporate governance and social responsibility. It includes professional articles, calls for papers and programme reports. The authors are members of KÖVET, members of the editorial board and staff of KÖVET member companies, as well as other experts in the field of environmental corporate governance. The Journal was launched in 1996 as an association newsletter and since then, more than 50 issues have been published with continuous development. Its primary mission is to provide practical support for the work and exchange of experience between environmental managers and other environmental professionals in companies.
Steps was relaunched in spring 2014, with a dynamic, modern look and feel to its interesting, exciting and sometimes scientific content.
We are pleased to announce that Lépések has been registered as a “peer-reviewed journal” in the Hungarian Archives of Scientific Works of Science since February 2014. This means that the authors of articles published in our scientific sections (Bionomics, Ecological Footprint, Happiness-wealthiness, Projects) can include their published material in Lépések in their publication list.

Sustainability, environmental, communication and communication specialists from small, medium and large enterprises, professionals from consultancy and auditing companies, politicians, senior decision-makers, students and teachers from NGOs and specialised educational institutions.
Reference number, dissemination
Published twice a year in 700 printed copies, twice electronically. It is distributed through our own growing mailing list, personal contacts and events.
Advertising rules
The editorial staff will only allow the publication of professional advertisements in line with the profile of the journal. Advertisements for environmental services and products will be published if we are convinced of their environmental benefits. No advertisements will be placed on the front cover of the magazine. Publication conditions
Steps will publish studies on sustainability and social responsibility if they meet the formal requirements for scientific publications and contain original theoretical or empirical research results. The journal regularly publishes reviews of books on sustainable development, provides a forum for debate on academic topics and, in its Entrepreneur for Others section, publishes interviews with managers and professionals from socially responsible companies. The Human Factors section features scientists, professionals and entrepreneurs who are leading the way in sustainability. For more information, please contact our association at biro@kovet.hu.
