DIPA Diósgyőri Papírgyár Zrt. operated an integrated quality and environmental management system in accordance with ISO 9001 and 14001. Its parent company, the Hungarian National Bank, has been operating and having certified an environmental management system in accordance with EMAS since 2011. Among the MNB’s strategic goals is the implementation of EMAS at its subsidiaries involved in cash production. In 2014, KÖVET collaborated with the Banknote Printing Works on a program aimed at developing an environmental performance indicator system compliant with the EMAS Regulation. The goal of the current project is to prepare DIPA Zrt. for EMAS certification in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1221/2009. DIPA Zrt. was certified in August 2017 and is an EMAS-certified company registered under number HU-000040.
